Richburg, SC, Aug. 26, 2025 – Researchers from the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) say adding an ember-resistant buffer to the landscaping nearest a home is a critical step homeowners can take to prevent it from igniting in a wildfire. The good news is that much of the work to create this zone can be do-it-yourself.
